Here at Sweetini’s Cake Shop we love nothing more than making our clients cake dreams a reality. We made this for a very sweet customer and her little girl on her 2nd birthday. The clever Twotti Fruitti birthday theme both has a sweet play on words and allows for a lot of cake and decorative creativity!
This Twotti Fruitti custom birthday cake was so much fun to make. Both tiers are filled with cookies and cream filling and iced with espresso buttercream. Sweetini’s has many custom cake flavor options and can help with flavor pairing suggestions.
To make the pineapple topper, we dried cut fondant leaves with a curl in their tops to make them more realistic. The watermelon seeds are also fondant, which we cut and shaped with a piping tip. We cut and created the lemons, limes, strawberries, and cherries ahead of time as well so they’d dry out a bit, allowing them to hold their integrity when placed on the cake.
Our customer decorated her table with pieces of fake fruit and fruit shaped candies. Such a sweet way to celebrate a 2-year old’s birthday!
